The slowdown in real estate has sent some investors
fleeing from the market. But those bailing out may be missing
opportunities say the authors of Making Hard Cash in a soft Real Estate
Market (Wiley, 2007) There are still big bucks to be made- even in a
down cycle. In fact, the authors argue that -more money has always been
made in a down market than in an up market. They recommend entering the
market early. When it is quiet, when the media is not saying record
levels of appreciation, that is when you want to jump in the authors
write.

by Lawrence Yun, the chief economist for NAR.
Yuns outlook for 2008 is a year of opportunity
where there will be serious, healthy business. He predicted that the
market returns to normal by 2009. He explains that states that first
experienced a downturn in the Northeast are now in recovery and falling
interest rates will motivate many buyers to step into the market now.
According to Yun, one of the biggest mistakes that reporters make is
talking about national trends. Yun argues that talking about national
averages is about as effective as having a national weather forecast.
Like the weather, all real estate markets are local.

Charlotte is the state's largest city and includes the
following area attractions: NBA Charlotte Bobcats, NFL Carolina
Panthers, and The Performing Arts Center. Greensboro is the home

baseball is in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem, and NHL hockey
is found in Raleigh. Minor league hockey is found in the

Climate
Golf can be played virtually year round. January
is the coldest month with average temperatures in the mid 40's, and July
is the warmest month with average temperatures in the mid to upper 80's.
The dogwood trees begin blooming in early April and the leaves start
turning in mid-October through the first of November. The boating
season is from March until November along with the occasional days in
December that make it into the 60's.
