The magnificent Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point hosts hundreds of events for its members every year including golf tournaments, receptions, luncheons, weddings, corporate meetings and birthday parties. Overlooking the picturesque 18th hole and sparkling Badin Lake, the elegantly appointed 24,000 square foot Clubhouse provides the ideal setting for every occasion.

Designed to maximize views of the golf course and the lake, the Clubhouse atmosphere is one of refined elegance and welcoming comfort. Amenities include a 110-seat main dining room with sun porch, a parlor bar (which includes informal dining) with native stone fireplace, a spacious terrace patio and colonnade, an outdoor area for large functions, a full service stand-alone golf shop and fully equipped men's and women's locker rooms with lounges, and private lockers.

The Clubhouse has quickly become the center of activity amidst the community's outstanding recreational facilities including the 18-hole Tom Fazio championship golf course, and 18-hole putting course, two swimming pools, six tennis courts, a fitness center and lakefront guest Lodge. An active community keeps the club calendar filled with special programs. An activities staff schedules events for adults and children alike, from Sports Camps and Kids' Club to water aerobics and seminars on healthy cooking.

The Old North State Club membership now totals over 400 members. It has been one of the best years yet, with many activities especially at the swimming facility, with a family pool, water slide, bath houses, fitness center, six tennis courts and tennis shop. The Marina includes 50 wet slips, 100 dry storage spaces and 30 fenced spaces.  The Old North State Club looks forward to many years of clubhouse operations with many fun and festive social events. 

Additionally, there is  a beautiful  Bed and Breakfast which can be used by property owners and their friends or family who are visiting from out of town.  We have eight wonderfully decorated rooms that offer many amenities and features, coupled with a staff that is eager to make your guests our guests.

 

 

 

 

 

MEMBERSHIPS AVAILABLE AT THE OLD NORTH STATE CLUB IN 2006

 

Full Golf            A Full Golf Membership permits the member to use all of the golf, tennis, swimming and social facilities provided at the Club.  Full Golf Members have a seven-day sign-up privilege to reserve golf starting times and tennis court times.  Full Golf Members shall not pay green fees or court fees, but shall pay the applicable golf cart fees for use of the golf facilities of the Club.

 

 

Extended Family Membership            The Club reserves the right to permit the extended family of a member to use the membership privileges on a membership year basis upon payment of additional dues established by the Club.  This allows the member’s children and their spouses, and member’s grandchildren to have full access to the Club. 

 

Sports             A Sports Membership permits the member to use all of the tennis, swimming and social facilities provided at the Club and to limited access to the golf facilities.  Sports Members have a three-day sign-up privilege to reserve golf starting times and a seven-day sign-up privilege to reserve tennis court times.  Sports Members may not reserve a golf starting time, in advance, to play golf before noon on Saturday, Sunday or any holiday.  Sports Members shall not pay court fees for use of the tennis facilities but shall pay the applicable green fees and golf cart fees for the use of the golf facilities of the Club.   

 

Social              A Social Membership permits the member to use all of the swimming and social facilities provided at the Club.  Social Members are not permitted to use the golf and tennis facilities at the Club, except as a guest of another member of the Club.   

 

 

All initiation deposits are 100% refundable according to club by-laws.  Food Minimums are $200 per quarter including alcohol.
